Safety-first boundaries

A schedule is never permission to ride through a brake problem.

Weakness or long travel

A sudden or material change can come from wear, adjustment, air, leakage, component damage or another fault. Do not continue normal use until the complete system is checked.

Drag or unusual heat

A brake that does not release can damage friction material and surrounding components and may worsen rapidly. Stop riding and arrange safe transport for inspection.
