When should an Atlas Honda tyre be replaced?

Not at one universal kilometre. All nine current petrol guides publish 1.5 mm front and 2.0 mm rear minimum tread depth—and visible wear or unsafe condition can require action earlier.

Direct answer

Replace by the published minimum—and earlier when wear indicators or condition require it.

CD70, CD70 Dream, Pridor, CG125, CG125S, CG125S Gold, CB125F, CG150 and CB150F all publish 1.5 mm front and 2.0 mm rear minimum tread depth. The current local guides do not publish a universal replacement mileage, year, brand ranking or both-tyres-at-once rule.

Honda ICON e remains explicitly unnumbered here. Its reviewed current local specification publishes IRC MB520 Z front 90/90-12 44J and rear 100/90-10 56J, but the reviewed local documents do not publish a numeric minimum tread depth. Do not copy the petrol values; use wear indicators, condition evidence and current written exact-model confirmation.

A higher tread reading is not a safety certificate. Visible TWI, cuts, cracks, exposed fabric or cord, bulges, separation, embedded objects, repeated pressure loss, abnormal wear, impact or rim evidence, wrong fitment, changed steering or vibration requires trained inspection or replacement without a road test.

Current ten-model matrix

Exact tyre sizes and the local numeric tread-depth publication boundary.

The minimum is a replacement boundary, not a target to reach. Size codes do not by themselves prove construction, tube/tubeless requirement, rim fitment, speed/load suitability, age, condition or compatibility.

Condition overrides kilometres

Seven observations that cannot wait for an odometer target.

Wear indicator visible

Honda says to replace immediately when the tread-wear indicator becomes visible. Do not average the wear bar into a measurement or ride to use the remaining kilometres.

Structural damage

A cut, crack, exposed fabric or cord, bulge, separation or unusual deformation is not cleared by pressure or tread depth.

Puncture or repeated pressure loss

An embedded object, leak or unexplained loss requires controlled handling and trained inspection. Do not pull the object, inflate-and-ride, seal by guess or reproduce the loss in traffic.

Abnormal or uneven wear

One favourable spot does not clear the tyre. Preserve the lowest valid measurement and inspect pressure, wheel, rim, bearings, alignment, brake, steering, suspension, load and use context.

Impact, rim or control change

A pothole or kerb impact, bent or cracked rim, loose spoke or wheel-security concern, wobble, pull, vibration, rubbing or clearance change overrides tread arithmetic.

Fitment not documented

Do not approve a tyre from model nickname, width, ply marketing or appearance. Exact front/rear size, construction, speed/load range, rim and tube/tubeless requirement remain controlling.

No roadside experiment. Do not road-test a suspected tyre, wheel, rim, brake, steering or suspension defect; do not loosen a brake, overinflate, spin the wheel under power, heat the tyre, insert a tube, plug a sidewall or copy a foreign-model repair procedure.

Private condition-first finder

Route the strongest observation before comparing millimetres.

This finder stores and transmits nothing, requests no personal or vehicle identifier and does not certify a tyre, repair, fitment, installation, balance, pressure or road use.

Use a proper tread-depth gauge at several representative points; do not measure on a raised wear bar.

No name, phone, registration, chassis, route, tyre serial, employer, job-card or other identifier is requested.

Eight-step practical workflow

Measure correctly, preserve every stronger defect and verify the complete fitment.

Confirm model and position

Front and rear sizes, ratings, pressure and minimums cannot be swapped.

Inspect cold before movement

No warm-pressure inference or road test of a suspected defect.

Find stronger evidence

TWI, damage, leakage, abnormal wear, impact and control change override millimetres.

Gauge multiple points

Use a proper depth gauge, exclude raised wear bars and preserve the lowest valid reading.

Apply only the exact limit

Use 1.5 mm front and 2.0 mm rear for the nine petrol guides; keep ICON e unpublished.

Verify every fitment field

Size alone does not complete construction, speed/load, rim, valve or tube/tubeless evidence.

Install and balance professionally

Use trained exact-unit tyre, wheel, pressure, security and balance work.

Complete stationary release checks

Unresolved leakage, rubbing, wobble, steering or vibration evidence blocks normal use.

Frequently asked questions

Replacement kilometres, tread, TWI, puncture, fitment and ICON e answers.

After how many kilometres should a Honda CD70 tyre be replaced?

The current CD70 guide publishes no universal replacement mileage. Use the 1.5 mm front and 2.0 mm rear minimums, visible wear indicators and complete condition evidence; replace earlier when required.

What is the minimum tread depth for current Atlas Honda petrol models?

All nine reviewed current petrol guides publish 1.5 mm front and 2.0 mm rear. Treat those as minimum boundaries, not targets or all-condition approval.

What is the Honda ICON e minimum tread depth?

The reviewed current local documents publish no numeric minimum. Do not copy the petrol values; use TWI and condition evidence and obtain exact current written confirmation.

Is a tyre safe when tread is above the minimum?

Not automatically. TWI, damage, abnormal wear, leakage, impact, wrong fitment, rim evidence, wobble, pull or vibration can require action earlier.

Should I replace a tyre when the TWI is visible?

Yes. Current Honda guidance says to replace immediately when the tread-wear indicator becomes visible.

Can I buy a replacement only by matching the size?

No. Confirm position, size, construction, speed rating, load range, rim, tube/tubeless requirement, valve, direction and current exact-model fitment.

Can I ride a punctured or leaking tyre to test it?

No. Preserve the condition, control movement and arrange trained inspection instead of a public-road leakage, steering or braking test.

Must both motorcycle tyres always be replaced together?

The reviewed local page creates no universal both-at-once rule. Inspect both and decide each position from exact specification, condition and compatibility evidence.

Can age or mileage replace a tread-depth check?

No. They are context only. Measure tread and inspect condition; low kilometres do not clear deterioration or damage.

Does the finder store my tyre measurement?

No. It stores and transmits nothing, requests no personal or vehicle identifier and does not certify a tyre, fitment, repair or road use.

Need a measured tyre and wheel inspection?

Bring the exact model, wheel position, lowest readings and visible evidence.

Record cold pressure, size and sidewall markings, TWI visibility, lowest tread measurements, cuts or bulges, air-loss history, puncture or embedded-object evidence, rim and valve condition, impact, vibration or steering change, load and recent tyre, wheel or brake work.
