Honda explains that a cable-operated clutch may remain partly disengaged as steering position changes and may wear prematurely. Inspect the cable route and clutch operation; do not merely chase the lower number.
The clutch may not disengage fully. Creeping, stalling when gear is selected or persistent drag requires trained inspection even after a lever measurement.
Engine speed rises without a matching increase in drive or road speed. Free play, clutch wear, lubricant, load and internal condition can overlap; the checker does not authorize a plate replacement.
